Pinterest is an interesting social media that I didn’t fully understand for a long time. Truth be told, I still don’t really understand it that well. I’m trying though. I think people post pictures that link to website and an algorithm groups similar looking pictures together? Something like that.

Pressure Treated Outdoor Table
This project is the final part of revamping my outdoor area. What a journey. It’s really transformed my outdoor space and collectively it’s only taken me a few days of work. Great return for the effort. This table is pretty basic but I wanted to make it so that a large group of people could all eat outside together. The channel in the middle of the table is design so that it can be filled up with ice and people can put their beer and other drinks in it to be chilled.

Ok here’s the third part of my deck overhaul. Hope you aren’t bored yet, because this isn’t even the last part. So whats up this time? MORE SEATING. Except these seats will also transform into comfortable loungers for those times when I don’t have 30 people over and I don’t need a ton of seating. For when I’m out on my deck alone and enjoying the sun. Or maybe when I have one other person with me, because I built two of them.

Smart LED Bias Light
I’ve wanted to add some bias lights to my monitor for a while. I always use my computer at night (especially now that it’s winter) and I’ve heard that bias lights really help with eye strain and can improve the perceived contrast of your screen. Everyone is using cheap LED strips, I wanted to kick it up a notch and use a smart LED strip that can be controlled with my google home and my phone.

So one of the primary reason I started this blog is because I wanted to talk about home automation. I think it’s an interesting industry that’s finally finding its footing. Only now are a wide selection of smart home products available in user friendly packages. That wide selection can be slightly intimidating though, there are a lot of companies fighting for their share of the market.
